Are those out of the org. in better mental health than those in?
by JH in.
i was wondering if those in the jw organization would be in better or worse mental health than those who quit the organization?

What are the biggest motivating remarks by the Watchtower ???
by run dont walk inyou know, you could almost compare the watchtower to tony robbins, with there constant motivating do more service, attend all meetings.
what will the watchtower be using to motivate the current members to keep this crap going ???.

Yes Anna was a horrible tennis player. Won 47 singles matches and was ranked #8 one year. Horrible. Then when she was teamed with Hingus they were the number one ranked doubles team in the world. Horrible just horrible.

What do you miss the most not being a witness anymore?
by JH inis there anything that you miss, since you don't belong to the jw's anymore?
friendship, family, or maybe just the feeling of belonging to some groupe that had you dreaming of a better world?

I'm lucky, I've left nothing behind. So I miss nothing, not a person, thing or moment.

Fading?
by neverin ini have been lurking here for about 2 years now and have decided to 'come out' of lurkdom.
a brief history - although i have never attended meetings my dad and 2 brothers are elders - mom has never been 'in the truth', dad joined when they had been married about 10 yrs.
anyway cut to the chase - i was abused by my brothers friend - i was 10 her was 22 - and i only told my parents 2 years ago, aged 32. the whole mess is a very long story and perhaps i will take the time to tell all in the future.

He looks like he is having his doubts. Maybe you can ask him?
Welcome to the board too.

Did you really believe?
by barbar ini am interested to know whether jw's or ex jw's on this board really did believe 100%.
did you have doubts all of the time, did you have some confusion or did you never doubt at all?
i recognise that most on this board will have had doubts at the end but was this always the case when you were a good dub?

No believer here, never was. I went cause kids are supposed to go but they didn't force it on me.
I did do my little book and watchtower "studies" and found them simplistic and anal. There was no attraction to join.

Dead Like Me
by Stacy Smith ini am so hooked on the tv show dead like me that i watch each episode a couple of times.
i just love it.
i think it's a very intelligent quirkly show that never fails to surprise me, make me laugh and even make me feel a bit sad.

There have only been a half dozen or so episodes so I'm sure it won't show up on DVD for at least a year or so.
Did I mention I love it?
